How to apply for the Frank Mohr Instituut (FMI Masters)
Step 1: register at Studielink
If you wish to follow one of the master programs at the FMI Masters, please surf to our website at www.studielink.nl
You will receive a personal account that you can use to complete your enrolment. In Studielink you will be able to track the progress of your enrolment. You also use Studielink whenever you wish to alter your enrolment or your own data.
Step 2: filling in application form and sending documentation
To follow a Master of Fine Arts Program at the FMI Masters there are additional requirements (Entrance exams / assessments / intake). As soon as you have registered on Studielink, we will send you by email a confirmation letter and more information about the required documents we would like you to send to us:
a copy of the original diplomas and mark lists of your secondary school and bachelor education(s). If the diplomas are not in Dutch, English, Spanish or German, we need an official English translation of the diplomas/mark lists by a sworn translator.
a copy of your Identity Card. From non-EU-students we need a copy of your passport.

a folder with at most 20 framed 35 mm colour slides or other visual or sound documentation, such as videotape, sound-tape, cd-rom, dvd or photographs, characterizing your work well and giving a clear picture of your qualities as an artist. State clearly on each slide which is the top of the reproduced work. We prefer to receive cd-roms in duplicate.
Deadlines for sending in application forms and documents to apply for the study year 2010-2011:
deadline 1 > sending applications February 19th 2010
deadline 2 > sending applications April 09th 2010
deadline 3 > sending applications June 04th 2010

Step 3: meeting admission committee
After we have received these additional documents,we can criticize your application and judge whether to invite you for a meeting with the admission committee. If you will be invited, the committee wants to talk with you about your application, your goals and your work. The committee asks you to bring a selection of your recent work and the thesis of your bachelor education at the meeting.
Step 4: what to do after been admitted
If you will be admitted for the academic year 2010-2011, we will bring foreign students in contact with the International Student Office of the Hanze University. They will help you with things like visa, residence permit, housing etc.
The Financial Administration will send all students admitted a form which you have to fill in to pay your tuition fee. You have to return the form before the August 31th 2010. You can choose to pay the tuition fee (1.672,00 euro for the study year 2010-2011) in once or - and this is only possible if you have a Dutch bank account - you pay the tuition fee in periods. The study year 2010-2011 will start in the first week of September 2010.
